Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Manage general ledger operations and account reconciliations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow management
- Conduct variance analysis and financial reporting for stakeholders
- Coordinate external audit processes and compliance documentation
- Implement process improvements in accounting systems
- Mentor junior accounting staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and NY tax regulations
- Proven experience with month-end/year-end closing processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills
