Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle accounting cycle, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and detect anomalies.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct internal audits and internal controls reviews to safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA designation is a strong plus but not mandatory.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions) and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle).
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
