Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance commentary
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and cash flow forecasting
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal policies
- Collaborate with auditors during external financial examinations
- Develop and implement process improvements for accounting workflows
- Mentor junior accounting staff and cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in full-cycle accounting and financial reporting
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks Enterprise
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle a plus)
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder interactions
