Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures
- Prepare and analyze financial statements with variance reporting for executive stakeholders
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and implement process improvements
- Ensure compliance with federal/state tax regulations and SOX requirements
- Lead audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors
- Develop financial models and forecasts for strategic planning initiatives
- Mentor junior accounting staff and optimize department workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP, tax regulations, and SOX compliance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems (NetSuite experience a plus)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to manage complex financial reporting cycles
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations
