Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Assist in the preparation of annual federal and state tax returns and ensure all regulatory filings are accurate and timely.
- Perform complex general ledger reconciliations and identify variances for immediate resolution.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiency.
- Conduct regular audits and provide supporting documentation to external auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal control frameworks.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse teams.
