Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Manage general ledger functions, including month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Perform complex account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and intercompany transactions.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process and provide variance analysis to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and tax requirements.
- Prepare and analyze financial data for audits, including supporting documentation and schedules.
- Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial analysis techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
