Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end monthly and annual financial close process, ensuring accuracy and strict adherence to deadlines.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Perform detailed reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including vendor relations and customer billing cycles.
- Conduct internal audits and provide actionable recommendations for process improvements and cost reduction.
- Collaborate with department heads to support budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA certification is a significant plus.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Macros).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
