Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes for 15-20 mid-sized clients
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements with IFRS/GAAP compliance
- Lead month-end closing procedures and reconciliations
- Develop tax strategies and ensure regulatory compliance
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems
- Mentor junior accountants and provide financial guidance
- Conduct internal audits and process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel
- Proven expertise in tax preparation and auditing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and client management skills
- Experience with nonprofit and small business accounting
- Active NM CPA license required
