Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights for leadership
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and state-specific regulations in Washington
- Lead audits and prepare supporting documentation for external reviews
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and subsidiary ledgers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial operations efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Demonstrated expertise in financial statement preparation and analysis
- Strong knowledge of Washington state tax regulations and compliance
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Proven experience leading audit processes and resolving discrepancies
