Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements for Louisiana-based operations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing for 50+ employees
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Prepare tax documentation and coordinate with external auditors
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks and advanced Excel models
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and Louisiana tax regulations
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to manage deadlines in high-volume environments
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
- Experience with non-profit or multi-entity accounting a plus
