Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly financial statements and variance reports
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes for corporate clients
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and general ledger maintenance
- Coordinate internal/external audits and ensure compliance with GAAP
- Develop financial models and forecasting tools for strategic decision-making
- Mentor junior accounting staff on technical processes
- Collaborate with cross-department teams on budgeting initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting and reconciliation
- Strong analytical skills with attention to regulatory compliance
- Experience managing audits and tax preparation processes
- Excellent written/verbal communication abilities
- Illinois CPA license required
