Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial record-keeping.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the budget preparation process and perform variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and process improvements.
- Prepare and file annual tax returns and maintain tax filings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
