Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger and perform complex month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow) in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax returns and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and intercompany accounts on a monthly basis.
- Conduct internal audits to identify risks and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
