Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
- Manage general ledger accounting, including account reconciliation and variance analysis.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial reports for management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and internal policies.
- Lead internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and systems.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and review their work for accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or CMA certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and tax compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
