Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and optimization opportunities
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and Kentucky state regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and variance analysis
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and supporting documentation
- Lead internal audits and prepare documentation for external reviews
- Implement process improvements using accounting software and automation tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with remote work preference
- CPA certification or actively pursuing required
- Expertise in QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel with complex formula development
