Responsibilities
- Manage monthly close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis
- Prepare and submit regulatory financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Lead internal audit coordination and process improvement initiatives
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable functions and cash flow management
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on budget forecasting and variance analysis
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls systems
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide technical guidance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with CPA certification required
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel with pivot tables/VBA
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Proven experience managing month-end close cycles and reconciliations
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder reporting and presentations
- Experience in financial services industry preferred
