Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage full-cycle accounting for 15-20 diverse client portfolios
- Lead quarterly and annual audits coordinating with external auditors
- Develop and implement internal controls for operational efficiency
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing
- Advise clients on tax planning strategies and compliance matters
- Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks Enterprise and SAP
- Train junior staff on accounting best practices and software
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of public accounting experience with Sacramento clients
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, tax codes, and California regulations
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and client relationships
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience with nonprofit and manufacturing accounting a plus
