Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end/year-end closings
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and general ledger maintenance
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and California state regulations
- Collaborate with auditors during quarterly and annual reviews
- Develop financial models and variance analysis for executive reporting
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in California
- Expertise in QuickBooks, NetSuite, and advanced Excel functions
- Deep understanding of California tax regulations and reporting requirements
- Proven experience with SOX compliance and internal controls
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication abilities for cross-departmental collaboration
