Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting for diverse client portfolios including bookkeeping, payroll processing, and month-end close procedures
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow) ensuring GAAP compliance
- Lead tax preparation and planning initiatives for individuals and small businesses
- Implement and optimize accounting systems with QuickBooks and ERP software
- Conduct internal audits and financial risk assessments
- Provide strategic financial consulting to clients on cost optimization and cash flow management
- Mentor junior accountants and oversee team training programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or private practice
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software (NetSuite a plus)
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and California-specific compliance requirements
- Proven experience managing multi-client portfolios and complex financial projects
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills for client interactions and team leadership
- Active CPA license required
