Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting for 15-20 portfolio clients including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and implement process improvements
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements with variance reporting
- Lead tax compliance initiatives including sales tax, payroll tax, and quarterly filings
- Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure SOX compliance
- Mentor junior accountants on accounting principles and firm systems
- Partner with audit teams to facilitate annual reviews and external audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of public accounting or corporate accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel with VBA skills
- Demonstrated expertise in GAAP and multi-state tax compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience managing accounting teams or complex client relationships
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with competing priorities
