Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage general ledger operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing processes
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely processing and accurate record-keeping
- Coordinate internal and external audit processes, preparing documentation and addressing audit inquiries
- Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and industry-specific accounting standards
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on complex accounting issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification strongly preferred
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle) and MS Excel (advanced functions)
- Demonstrated expertise in financial statement preparation and analysis
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication abilities to present complex financial information clearly
- Experience with internal controls and process improvement initiatives
