Responsibilities
- Oversee month-end closing processes and financial statement preparation
- Lead accounts payable/receivable operations with 99.5% accuracy
- Conduct comprehensive reconciliations across 15+ GL accounts
- Analyze budget variances and provide actionable insights to leadership
- Manage sales/use tax compliance across 3 states
- Lead internal audit initiatives and process improvement projects
- Mentor junior accounting staff through quarterly training sessions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise and Excel (VBA skills a plus)
- Proven track record of implementing SOX controls
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP and multi-state tax regulations
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong leadership experience managing cross-functional projects
