Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end closings and reconciliations
- Prepare statutory financial statements and regulatory compliance reports
- Lead financial audits and coordinate with external auditors
- Develop and implement financial controls to mitigate risks
- Analyse financial performance trends and provide strategic insights
- Mentor junior accounting staff and improve department workflows
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with 5+ years post-qualification experience
- Proven expertise in UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Advanced proficiency in Sage 50 and Excel (including VLOOKUP/PivotTables)
- Experience managing multi-currency transactions and international subsidiaries
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder reporting
- Experience implementing ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred)
