Responsibilities
- Oversee the full cycle of monthly and annual accounting processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Prepare and analyse financial statements, variance reports, and cash flow forecasts for executive leadership.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of VAT returns and compliance with local tax legislation.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, optimising working capital and resolving discrepancies.
- Lead the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to the annual budgeting process and assist in long-term financial planning.
Qualifications
- ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent professional qualification is essential.
- Minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience within a UK-based accounting environment.
- Strong working knowledge of accounting software (Sage 50, Xero, or NetSuite) and MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- In-depth understanding of UK tax laws, including Corporation Tax and PAYE.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance teams.
- High level of attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
