We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in London. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP, and preparing accurate financial statements. You will play a key part in our monthly close process and provide strategic financial insights to senior management.

Responsibilities
- Manage daily, monthly, and year-end accounting operations, including general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UK GAAP and statutory regulations.
- Oversee the monthly and year-end close process, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Prepare and file VAT returns and manage tax compliance requirements.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing requested documentation and schedules.
- Conduct variance analysis and budgeting support to assist in financial planning.
- Ensure internal controls are maintained and financial processes are optimized.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or finalist with significant relevant experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar accounting role within the UK.
- Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks).
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team under tight deadlines.
