The Role
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the accuracy of our financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations. You will mentor junior staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business intelligence.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial reports are accurate and submitted on time.
- Manage general ledger activities, including account reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Prepare complex financial statements and assist in the annual audit process.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, GAAP, and internal controls.
- Lead the accounts payable and receivable functions, managing vendor relationships and collections.
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and budget planning.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide training on financial processes and software.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Macros).
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
