Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL, AP/AR, and month-end close processes
- Prepare accurate financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) adhering to GAAP standards
- Lead internal audits and ensure compliance with SOX regulations
- Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and support strategic decision-making
- Oversee tax preparation processes and coordinate with external auditors
- Implement process improvements using ERP systems (SAP/Oracle experience preferred)
- Mentor junior accounting staff and cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (MBA/CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder presentations
