Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and corporate policies.
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy of account balances and performing month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and vendor management.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct financial audits and coordinate with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
- Develop and maintain budget models to support strategic planning and forecasting.
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Candidate status is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
