Responsibilities
- Execute full-cycle accounting operations including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Lead month-end and quarter-end close processes with 48-hour turnaround targets
- Manage complex account reconciliations for multi-entity portfolios
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure SOX compliance
- Analyze variance reports and provide actionable insights to senior leadership
- Collaborate with audit teams during external examinations
- Mentor junior accountants using our proprietary financial modeling software
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables), and ERP systems
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and IRS regulations
- Proven experience managing multi-state tax compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience with financial reporting for SEC filings
