Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations for 15-20 mid-sized clients
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Oversee payroll processing and tax compliance (federal/state)
- Lead year-end audits and tax preparation engagements
- Implement process improvements using QuickBooks Online and Xero
- Mentor junior accountants on GAAP standards and best practices
- Develop financial models for business growth scenarios
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA preferred)
- 4+ years of public accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks/Xero and Excel
- Strong knowledge of Kansas tax regulations
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Certification in QuickBooks Online required
