Responsibilities
- Manage month-end/year-end close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to leadership
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and Texas state regulations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and tax filings
- Develop and maintain internal controls to mitigate financial risks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Lead audits and prepare documentation for external stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public or corporate finance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
- Deep understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and Texas tax regulations
- Proven ability to manage complex financial reporting cycles
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
- Experience with financial audits and regulatory compliance
