Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities
- Prepare and file complex tax returns while ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls to mitigate financial risks
- Mentor junior staff and implement best practices in accounting operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Demonstrated expertise in GAAP compliance and financial analysis
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder reporting
