Responsibilities
- Manage month-end/year-end close processes for diverse client portfolios
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls and SOX compliance frameworks
- Lead tax preparation and planning initiatives for S-Corporations and LLCs
- Develop financial models for M&A transactions and fundraising rounds
- Train junior staff on accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite)
- Conduct audits of vendor contracts and expense reimbursement systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of public/private accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in GAAP and IRS tax regulations
- Expertise in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics)
- Strong analytical skills with Excel dashboard creation abilities
- Texas CPA license or actively pursuing certification
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and sales audits
- Excellent written/verbal communication for client presentations
