This role is fully remote and open to candidates based in Jacksonville, FL or New York.
Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes for multiple entities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Lead audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations
- Develop and implement financial forecasting models
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and variance analysis
- Maintain and optimize accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite)
- Mentor junior accounting staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software
- Proven experience with multi-state tax compliance (FL/NY)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
