Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle accounting operations including month-end closes, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Develop and optimize financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Lead internal controls implementation and SOX compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic financial initiatives and process improvements.
- Manage tax preparation and compliance for multi-state operations (CA/IL focus).
- Mentor junior accountants and drive continuous improvement in accounting workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance + CPA license or actively pursuing (3+ years experience).
- Expertise in GAAP, ASC, and multi-state tax regulations (CA/IL experience preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, and Excel (Power Query/PivotTables).
- Proven track record in scaling accounting operations for high-growth companies.
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Strong remote work experience with self-directed project management abilities.
