Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance and regulatory adherence
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and optimize cash flow management
- Develop financial models and forecasts to support strategic business decisions
- Lead internal audits and collaborate with external auditors during annual reviews
- Implement process improvements using automation tools like QuickBooks Online and Xero
- Mentor junior accounting staff and maintain accurate documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate setting
- Expertise in GAAP, financial reporting, and multi-state tax compliance
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, and accounting software
- Proven ability to manage complex reconciliations and financial analysis
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication for remote collaboration
- Experience with SaaS or fintech industries highly desirable
