Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly multi-state payroll for 200+ employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations (MI, OH, IN)
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and year-end reporting (W-2s, 1099s)
- Collaborate with HR on new hire onboarding and payroll policy updates
- Conduct payroll audits and resolve discrepancies with precision
- Support implementation of new payroll technologies and process improvements
- Act as primary payroll contact for client inquiries and escalations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience
- Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now or comparable HCM system
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or actively pursuing certification
- Expert knowledge of FLSA, FICA, and state-specific payroll regulations
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and macros
- Exceptional problem-solving and attention to detail
- Strong written communication skills for remote client interactions
- Experience with payroll audits and compliance reporting
