Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and general ledger reconciliations
- Lead month-end closing processes and ensure audit compliance
- Develop financial models and forecasts for business decision support
- Coordinate external audits and tax preparation documentation
- Implement process improvements for financial reporting efficiency
- Mentor junior accounting staff and cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Demonstrated GAAP compliance and regulatory knowledge
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance
