Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll for 200+ employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations including quarterly filings
- Manage garnishments, benefits deductions, and year-end reconciliation (W-2/1099)
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies through audit trails and employee support
- Collaborate with HR on onboarding/offboarding processes and compensation changes
- Generate payroll reports for leadership and external auditors
- Implement process improvements using data analytics and automation tools
Qualifications
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience with multi-state compliance
- Proficient in ADP or comparable payroll software (Ceridian, Paychex)
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) preferred
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and Power Query
- Deep understanding of FLSA, ACA, and state-specific labor laws
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong written communication for audit documentation and policy updates
- Experience with remote team collaboration tools (Slack, Asana)
