This hybrid role combines remote flexibility with occasional in-office collaboration at our modern St. Petersburg waterfront office. You'll work directly with senior tax professionals on complex individual and corporate tax returns while building expertise in tax planning, compliance, and IRS representation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Conduct tax research and planning strategies for high-net-worth clients
- Manage IRS correspondence and represent clients during audits
- Utilize tax software (Lacerte/ProSystem fx) for efficient processing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on multi-state tax compliance
- Maintain accurate client documentation and filing systems
- Stay current with tax law changes through CPE programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with 2+ years tax experience
- CPA license or actively pursuing certification
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong knowledge of individual and corporate tax codes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Clear communication skills for client interactions
