Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 small business clients using QuickBooks Online
- Process payroll and tax filings bi-weekly with 100% accuracy
- Generate monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts
- Prepare sales tax returns and vendor payments
- Implement internal controls to prevent financial discrepancies
- Collaborate with CPAs during quarterly/annual audits
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online
- Proven expertise in payroll processing and multi-state tax compliance
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Macros)
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero tolerance for errors
- Strong remote work communication skills via Slack/Zoom
- Weekend availability (Saturday/Sunday, 8am-5pm EST)
- Experience with construction or retail accounting a plus
