Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Remote Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team in Chicago, IL. This is a fully remote position offering a competitive salary and the flexibility to work from home.

Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and process invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Match purchase orders to invoices and resolve any billing discrepancies or exceptions.
- Prepare and upload supporting documentation for payments (ACH, wire transfers).
- Reconcile vendor statements monthly to ensure balances are correct.
- Assist with month-end close procedures and financial reporting.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all AP records.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or QuickBooks) is highly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and functions).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot errors quickly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote work environment.
