Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, ensuring strict adherence to GAAP and internal controls.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and fixed asset reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Conduct internal audits and review financial processes for efficiency and compliance.
- Support budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis for management.
- Collaborate with the team to improve financial reporting systems and software.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification is a plus).
- 3-5 years of professional accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of US tax laws, financial regulations, and auditing standards.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a remote setting with excellent time management.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
