Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle accounting cycle, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L).
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Assist with tax preparation, filings, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve reporting processes and implement new accounting software.
- Conduct internal audits to identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements.
- Prepare budgets and forecasts to support organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting platforms.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
- Proven ability to communicate complex financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
