Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Financial Operations: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Financial Reconciliation: Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets, providing variance analysis to management.
- Compliance & Tax Support: Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve operational efficiency using modern financial software.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero is essential. Experience with NetSuite or Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is highly desirable.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients and team members.
