Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements monthly to ensure data integrity.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings in compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently.
- Conduct monthly variance analysis to provide insights into financial performance.
- Collaborate with the team to implement process improvements and automation tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- CPA certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting with excellent time management skills.
