Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements, to support executive decision-making.
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures in strict accordance with GAAP and internal controls.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist with external audits and tax preparation, providing all necessary documentation and explanations.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop and maintain budgets and financial forecasts.
- Streamline accounting workflows and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Proven experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting while meeting strict deadlines.
