Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely posting of financial transactions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing and bill payments.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies immediately.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct regular audits of financial records and internal controls to prevent errors.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve reporting processes and financial forecasting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 3+ years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- CPA certification or CMA designation is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax laws, and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
