Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end monthly and annual accounting cycles, including accounts payable and receivable reconciliation.
- Prepare accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
- Perform bank reconciliations and variance analysis to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure internal controls are effective and financial data integrity is maintained.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to streamline financial processes and improve reporting efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong preference for remote or hybrid work experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) and advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of US tax laws and financial regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
