Job Summary:
We are looking for a self-motivated individual to manage financial records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. If you have a strong background in general ledger accounting and a passion for numbers, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
- Assist with tax preparation and year-end audits.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
- Process payroll and manage employee expense reports accurately.
- Collaborate with the team to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
- 2+ years of professional accounting experience (remote experience is a plus).
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or Xero accounting software.
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated home office space.
